Northeastern PA Emergency Fuel Delivery
Facing a no-fuel emergency in Pennsylvania or New York, especially during the coldest months of the year, is a serious risk. Not only is it dangerous for your home or business, but also for anyone who lives or works in that space. That’s why we offer 24/7 emergency fuel delivery for our residential fuel customers.
Avoid Emergency Runouts with Automatic Delivery
One of the best ways to prevent a no-heat emergency is by enrolling in automatic fuel delivery. With this service, we track your fuel usage and schedule deliveries before your tank gets too low. It’s a simple, worry-free way to stay fueled up throughout the heating season.
Do You Suspect a Propane Leak?
Highhouse Energy also provides emergency propane leak checks. If you smell gas, which is often described as a rotten egg or skunk spray odor, follow these steps:
- NO FLAMES OR SPARKS. Immediately put out all smoking materials and other open flames. Do not operate lights, appliances, telephones, or cell phones. Flames or sparks from these sources can trigger an explosion or a fire.
- LEAVE THE AREA IMMEDIATELY. Get everyone out of the building or area where you suspect gas is leaking.
- SHUT OFF THE GAS. Turn off the main gas supply valve on your propane tank if it is safe to do so. To close the valve, turn it to the right (clockwise).
- REPORT THE LEAK. From a neighbor’s home or other nearby building away from the gas leak, call Highhouse Energy right away. If you can’t reach us, call 911 or your local fire department.
- DO NOT RETURN TO THE BUILDING OR AREA until your Highhouse Energy, emergency responder, or qualified service technician determines that it is safe to do so.
- GET YOUR SYSTEM CHECKED. Before you attempt to use any of your propane appliances, Highhouse Energy or a qualified service technician must check your entire system to ensure that it is leak-free.
