Highhouse Energy carries on a tradition of serving the area’s petroleum needs for over 70 years. Our business was founded in 1946 when Lynn W. Highhouse Sr. returned home from World War II. He borrowed $500 from his mother-in-law, Mrs. Julia Gallick, and then signed on as an “agent” for Socony-Vacuum Oil on December 1, 1946. Products sold back then included Bug-A-Boo insect spray, Paraseal canning wax, and Socony polishing cloths.
We’ve Come a Long Way Since Then
Today, as one of the Keystone State’s leading distributors of Sunoco products, Highhouse Energy provides delivery of heating oil, kerosene oil, propane, ethanol and non-ethanol gasoline, on- and off-road diesel, and motor oils to both residential and commercial customers. We carry a full line of industrial and construction lubricants and DEF. We assist our heating customers with budget plans, automatic fuel delivery, online bill pay, and 24-hour customer service.

Over the years, the Highhouse Energy team has expanded its service to include the Route 191 Car Wash located on Erie Street in Honesdale and the Route 6 Express Wash located near the Honesdale Mall. These establishments offer the consumer a choice of 24-hour self-service or full-service car wash facilities.
Our Retail Gasoline Stations in Pennsylvania
The company’s retail gasoline stations are conveniently located throughout the area with the Route 191 Station on Erie Street, Honesdale, which offers a full-service gas attendant, the Hamlin Express Mart on Route 590 in Hamlin, the Tafton Express Mart on Route 6 in Hawley across from the Wallenpaupack High School, and the Route 6 Express Mart in Indian Orchard. We are a proud distributor of Sunoco gasoline. We continue to provide gasoline and diesel fuel to several retail locations in the area and continue to expand in growing markets.
Our Route 6 Express Mart also carries beer and wine for our customers’ convenience. All of our Express Marts feature pay-at-the-pump, a delicious variety of food offerings, including Boar’s Head meats and Green Mountain coffee, convenience store items, and an assortment of petroleum products. Each site also has a Pacific Pride 24-hour cardlock fueling site that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to best provide after-hour fueling and itemized reporting for commercial accounts.

Highhouse Energy rewards loyal customers with the Highhouse Energy RewardsPlus program. Cardholders will receive $.04 per gallon off, up to 30 gallons purchased at any Highhouse Energy retail site. Cardholders will also enjoy free sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and hoagies. When they purchase six, they get the seventh one free.
